The Leconfield Hall is available to hire

The Leconfield Hall, in the middle of the historic market town of Petworth, is suitable for private and public events, sales, concerts, presentations, parties and a multitude of other uses. Upstairs is a well equipped arts centre, downstairs, the space can provide one big area for sales, exhibitions and meetings, or can be divided to provide a green room, or smaller committee rooms. Our all inclusive prices are very reasonable.

The Hall is well restored and equipped, with the multi purpose area downstairs and a large auditorium with raked seating, theatre lighting, gallery, stage, double windows giving good insulation from traffic noise and a sprung dance floor upstairs.  A grand piano is available and there is an electronic projector and associated equipment for computer, video and DVD based presentations.  There is a kitchen with all necessary equipment including a dishwasher and a hot cupboard.  The Hall has a lift and full access for the disabled.  There is also a hearing loop system on both floors.  The maximum capacity of the upper room is 188 for closely seated events or dancing.  For concerts with the raked seating out, 152 can be seated. Downstairs, in excess of 150 people can be accommodated

To hire the Hall for your event, please see the contact details on the left of this page.

The Leconfield Hall was built in 1793 and is a registered charity (No.305402).  It is a superb venue in the centre of Petworth with the A272 and A283 running through the town and providing passing trade.  There is ample parking in Petworth with a large car park a few minutes walk away and some spaces outside theHall.  All buses serving Petworth stop at the door.
